Office assistants may have a wide variety of
duties. They often help out anyone in the office who
has too much work to do. Sometimes they pick up
or drop off items for their supervisors. Sometimes
they fill out routine office forms. When people run
out of supplies, the office assistants put in an
order. If the receptionist is out, an assistant may
need to answer phones and note down messages.
