The skill of listening
There are two main kinds of
listening: listening for the general idea and listening
for detail. Look back at the listening exercises in this
coursebook and find some for each kind. Which kind
did you find easier / more difficult?

There are a number of things you can do before
you listen which can help you to understand better
and get the information you need. Which do you think
