PRACTICAL SPEAKING
A
A worker sees a mistake on his schedule and talks to his manager about it.
Listen and read the conversation. What is the mistake?
Dave:
Hi, Jen. I was just looking at the schedule for next week, and I think
there’s a mistake. I asked for Friday off next week. Remember?
Jen:
Oh! That’s right. I’m sorry, I did forget. I just copied last week’s schedule.
Dave:
Is it still OK to take that day off?
Jen:
Yes. I’ll have to figure out who can cover for you, though.
Dave:
I can ask around, if you’d like.
Jen:
That would be great. But if you don’t find someone, don’t worry.
I have other people I can call in.
Dave:
Thanks.
B
Listen and repeat.
