The National Museum of Bahrain has a very
excellent collection of archaeological exhibits,
examples of culture and traditions and permanent
and temporary exhibitions of Bahrain artworks.
It opened in 1988 and the Natural History Hall
opened in 1993. This has a wonderful collection of
flora and fauna found in the country. The building
is very enormous and is situated next to the sea. We
were absolutely hungry at the end of our visit, and
luckily the museum café has great food. Admission
is very cheap at only 1BD. There is an excellent
shop which sells some extremely fascinating
souvenirs. For such a small country, this collection is
absolutely interesting and most visitors have a really
wonderful day.
