GIVING A FORMAL PRESENTATION

You work for the tourist board of your home town
(or city/region). You are going to prepare and deliver a
five-minute presentation to Kaleidoscope World. Use
the notes below to prepare your presentation.
The purpose of the presentation is to persuade the
Kaleidoscope World agents to include your town/city/
region in their list of destinations for cultural visits.
The presentation should have an introduction and
conclusion.
The main body of the presentation should be
structured in the following way.
A – three key pieces of background information, e.g.
location, climate, population, history
B – three places to visit/main sights
C – three other things a visitor should try/do, e.g. special
food, sporting events, customs, traditions, festivals
Try to use some of the techniques for creating impact
in your presentation.
