Summarising

interviews.
T
here are several films which focus on people
who are forced to look for work in middle-age
after being made redundant.
Up in the Air
, which
stars George Clooney, is about a man whose job
is telling people they aren’t needed anymore who
also loses his job. Another film is
The Company
Men
, which stars Ben Affleck. In the film, he is a
rich, successful businessman who is named Bobby
Walker. His life changes when he is suddenly made
redundant. The film shows him being forced to start
at the bottom of the career ladder again, applying for
jobs and attending interviews. In one interview, the
person who is interviewing him starts talking about
a much lower ranking job than the one which was
advertised, which causes him to lose his temper and
storm out. In one way it is an amusing scene but for
many people the situation is much too real for them
to find it funny.
