Frank wrote an email to his supervisor to describe a problem at work.
Have you ever needed to report a problem at your work or school?
What was the problem? Did you offer a solution?

Employee training
Hi Jae,
I’m writing to make a suggestion about employee training. I
think that the food service department needs more training
sessions. We always train new staff, but I think we should offer
regular training to everyone. This will help us refresh our skills
and learn new skills.
I’m suggesting this because I see some problems with the food
service these days. Staff members are not following our basic
food service guidelines. One problem is that some staff members
are not being careful with food portions. So some patients are
getting too much food, and other patients are getting too little.
Also, we are often late when we clear away the trays after
lunch. Two of the patients complained about this to me today.
I think that regular refresher training sessions will help us
provide better customer service. I could help prepare the session
or even lead it. What do you think? I am working all day
tomorrow, so maybe we can talk more about it then.
Regards,
Frank
